Southeast Missouri Baseball Academy, LLC, is owned and operated by Talley and Jackie Haines. Talley played baseball at Cape Central High School before playing 2 years at Semo and 1 year at Freed-Hardeman University. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and played professionaly from 1998-2007. He pitched for the Tampa Bay Rays, Toronto Blue Jays, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies organizations. In 2004 he was added to the Toronto Blue Jays Major League Roster. In 2005, Talley was also selected as a member of the US National Team which played in the World Cup Tournament. Talley is an associate scout with the Tampa Bay Rays.
Talley has 5 Championship rings.

Todd Pennington, General Manager :

- Went 12-2 with a 1.33 ERA his final year of college, allowing only 51 hits in 95 innings, walking 36 and striking out 121.
- Began pro career at Class A Mahoning Valley in 2001, going 0-2 with a 3.52 ERA in 13 games, all in relief.
- Split 2002 between Scrappers and Class A Columbus, going 3-1 with two saves and a 0.59 ERA at Mahoning Valley and 1-1 with two saves and 1.75 ERA for RedStixx.
- Split 2003 between Class A Lake County and AA Akron.
- Posted eye-popping numbers for the Captains, going 2-1 with 20 saves and a 0.72 ERA in 36 games, striking out 65 in 37 1-3 innings.
- Then went 1-0 with a 3.60 ERA in seven games for the Aeros.

Zach Borowiak: 
Acquired: Red Sox 16th pick (14th round, 414th overall pick) in 2003 June draft.
2005: Spent nearly the entire season with Single –A Wilmington, earning a spot on the Carolina League All-Star team, before an August 29 promotion to Portland, his first stop in Double-A since a brief 3-game stint in 2003. Batted .254 with a career-high 11 homers and 59 RBI in 114 games for Wilmington, collecting 27 doubles and posting a .416 slugging percentage. Was the starting 2nd baseman at the All-Star Game, going 1-for-3 with a run scored. Named Red-Sox Minor League Defensive Player of the Month for August 2005.
